Was searching around the Internets for rebuild kit for my Tokico brake caliper that I put on the 1988 Sportster and found BrakeCrafters.com. Looks like they stock a lot of caliper and master cylinder seal and rebuild kits, especially for metric bikes….
The front brake rotor on the Honda Shadow is pretty well chewed up. So while we are doing all this work on the bike I am going to replace the front rotor and front brake pads. Will also flush the brake fluid…

Did a bit of tinkering on the 1988 Sportster over the weekend. Got the oil tank painted, mounted, and plumbed up. Looks pretty good on there.
Spent the weekend tightening up a few things to attempt to get the Sportster project to go down the road. Brakes, controls, and some other small things all which needed to be done before I could make her go. Then… she went!
Got a new set of tires for the Sportster. The old front tire was not in terrible shape but the rear tire was pretty worn with not much tread left on it. The Sportster project gets a new pair of shoes.
